How to Add Content

We use a Content Management System (CMS) to manage all content on the diday.org website. This allows you to contribute content without needing technical knowledge.

Step 1: Sign In with Codeberg

Visit the diday.org Content Management System and sign in with your Codeberg account.

If you don’t have a Codeberg account yet, you can create one for free at codeberg.org.

Step 2: Create a Fork (One-Time Setup)

When you first access the CMS, you’ll be prompted to create a fork of the website repository. Simply click the button to create your fork. This allows you to submit changes via the CMS.

Once created, you can use this fork to submit all future contributions.

Step 3: Edit Content Using the Visual Editor

The CMS provides a user-friendly editor for all content sections. You can:

  • Write and format your content
  • See an approximate live preview of your changes
  • Upload images and other media if needed

The preview shows you an approximate representation and not the final design—so you can see how the content is organized, but not the final colors, layout, and styling.

Step 4: Submit for Review

When you’re happy with your content, submit it for review:

  • Use the Status dropdown to change the status to “In Review” or “Ready for Review”
  • Alternatively, use the Workflow tab in the navigation bar and drag your content to the review column

When you submit content for review, the CMS automatically creates a pull request in the repository. If everything is technically correct, a comment is automatically generated that includes a link to a preview of the website.

Now you can just sit back and wait. Our moderation team will review the changes and approve them if they meet the requirements. Keep an eye out for emails or notifications in your Codeberg account.

Step 5: Your Content Goes Live

Once reviewers approve your Pull Request:

  • Your changes are merged into the main repository
  • The website automatically deploys with your new content
  • Your contribution is now live!

Tips for Contributing

  • Be clear and concise – easier to understand content gets approved faster
  • Check existing content – avoid duplicating information already on the site
  • Use proper formatting – helps with readability
  • Include helpful links – provide resources where people can find more information
